It is estimated that over 1 million tons of clothing is thrown away each year. Over 50% of that clothing is recyclable. Consider all of the clothing wasted and imagine how much additional fiber is wasted during the yarn to fabric processing. Then think about the waste created during the garment manufacturing processes. When clothing goes into landfills its always a bad situation. Synthetic fibers don’t decompose. Something natural like wool will decompose, but it produces methane. There is a great need to use more recycled fibers as an eco-friendly alternative when manufacturing new garments. We use recycled fabrics for a wide range of garments.
Our recycled fabrics are made from two main sources of recycled materials:
1//Fabrics made from recycled plastics like plastic bottles, rubber bands, and shopping bags.
2//Fabrics made by re-using recycled fabrics and clothing.
//Ideal Clothing
t-shirts – fashion cuts – tanks – thermals – long sleeves – woven button-ups
hoods – zip-ups – track jackets – casual shorts – jeans – jackets – headwear
//WHY use recycled fabrics
- Helps conserve our valuable resources by re-using fibers
- Lowers the amount of energy used and pollution caused by turning new resources into fabric.
- Eliminates the need to scour (thoroughly clean) and carbonize, which is needed on new fibers
- Reduces pollution of soil, air, and water
- Reduces the amount of waste that goes into landfills
